PAN-PRO L.L.C. INTEGRATES FORECAST PRO INTO NEW VENDOR
MANAGED INVENTORY PRODUCT.
November 1, 1999. Pan-Pro L.L.C. has integrated Business Forecast
Systems, Inc.’s (BFS) industry-leading Forecast Pro® forecasting
routines into PAN-PRO VMI, a vendor managed inventory system slated
for release on November 1st. The new system automatically generates
forecasts, behind the scenes, using FpwLib.dll, a library of Forecast
Pro forecasting algorithms. The solution is completely transparent
to the user.
According to BFS Vice President Eric Stellwagen, “The role
of the forecast is critical to all planning systems—it is
the number around which all the decisions are made. Using Forecast
Pro’s accurate statistically-based forecasting improves the
overall planning process. It allows Pan-Pro customers to reduce
inventory and stock outs without sacrificing customer service.”
Pan-Pro VMI is designed to fully automate the entire replenishment
cycle so that costs are eliminated—not just transferred within
the supply chain. The system has a proven track record of achieving
superior end customer service levels at significant reductions in
operating costs, for both the supplier and their channel partners.
